Word Forge Copywriting Newsletter8 April 2010 - Bringing out the Big GunsWord Forge has collaborated with top Blackpool design house, Think! Creative before on numerous BAE Systems projects, but the latest commission is the highest profile one yet. The MASS Transformation Project is a joint endeavour between the Ministry of Defence and BAE Systems and Word Forge is delighted to have been asked to provide the copy for a cross-organisation bi-monthly news sheet. Together with Think! Creative’s design work Word Forge will be at the heart of communicating the changes taking place to keep our Armed Forces well-equipped and well-protected. You can view the result now by clicking here. 7 April 2010 - Forging PartnershipsThe words Word Forge produces don’t sit in isolation. They have to exist somewhere. That’s why Word Forge is always looking to form collaborations with great design, media or SEO houses who know the value of the whole package. They can make our words look good, and our words can make their design better. It’s high time, then, we name-checked the following businesses, all of whom have worked with Word Forge over the past couple of months:
Thanks to them all for their continued collaboration. 29 March 2010 – Absolute ClassAbsolute Media are a serious media company with a serious portfolio of clients. From Bell’s Whisky to Hilton Hotels when big companies want award-winning design they choose Absolute. All the more reason for pride, then, as Word Forge has been asked to produce copy for the new Absolute website – and for Absolute clients. And it’s a burgeoning relationship that’s benefitting both parties: Word Forge enjoys a collaboration with another heavyweight design team whilst Absolute receives copy that, as Creative Director, David Vesty notes is, “Dare I say it ... Perfect.” 10 March 2010 – Can, Open. Words, All Over the PlaceMomentum is good – and the last couple of months have seen Word Forge’s commissions come from places a long way from Blackpool. First came Thailand (see ‘the rice of life’ article below) but it hasn’t stopped there. We’ve had our first commissions from London and the Republic of Ireland and we’ve been busy building links with a host of design agencies and copywriting companies right across the north-west to keep that momentum going. In fact, our copywriting base has shifted from Blackpool to the whole of the north-west of England. Which is just the way we like it. 20 January 2010 – Good Morning, Lancashire!Every now and again something rather unexpected happens at Word Forge. A perfect example of that came yesterday when BBC Radio Lancashire’s Sally Naden called and asked if Word Forge’s resident wordsmith Mike Brown could sit in on her show as one of her guests.
